One club. One pathway. Four stages of development.
Every NCW United program sits on a single connected pathway. Our coaching, our culture, and our development framework carry a player from their first session all the way up — with no dead ends and no cliffs along the way.
Falling in love with the game.
Building the technical base.
Learning to think the game.
Competing and completing the footballer.
Grassroots and competitive soccer run alongside each other from age 10 up — so choosing the recreational game is never choosing "less," and a player can stay in it as long as they love it.

Grassroots Soccer — Ages 3–15
Fun, welcoming, age-appropriate soccer for every skill level and every family. No experience needed. Our grassroots program is where most players start, and it's a full, valued home in its own right — a player can stay in recreational soccer from age 3 through age 15 and be exactly where they belong the whole way.
Cost is never the barrier. A guaranteed no-cost path (scholarship / fee waiver) means no child is ever turned away because of what a season costs. If cost is a concern for your family, tell us — that's what the path is there for.
Discovery / U4 (ages 3–4) is a separate registration — see below.
Discovery — Ages 3–4
Opening soon · separate registrationOne group · no teams, no scores
A player's very first soccer, built entirely on joy. At this age the whole job is to create an experience so positive that kids want to come back — everything else grows from that.
This is the club's only single-group program: no teams, no fixtures, no scores — just one cohort of little ones learning the game together.
- One short weekly session (about 20–30 minutes). Ball skills, movement, and games at their feet — no standing in lines.
- A handful of Funino play days across the season. Small, low-key fun. No scheduled games.
- A grown-up on the field with every player. At this age that's not a nice-to-have — it's how three- and four-year-olds learn best and feel safe.
- A club shirt included — a first piece of belonging.
Omak only for Fall 2026. Interested in a Tonasket or north-end session? Let us know — new locations open where there's both interest and a coach.
Grassroots Teams — Ages 5–13
Coed · structured teams
Real teams, consistent teammates, and coach-led development in a low-pressure setting. From here up, every player is on a structured team for the season — this is where the technical foundation gets built, and where we start naming bravery out loud and rewarding players for trying things.
- A team and the same teammates all season — the friendships and belonging are half the point.
- Two training sessions each week with a coach focused on skill-building, not just results.
- Game day scales with age. Our youngest teams play Funino; formats grow into progressively larger small-sided games as players get older — always sized to keep every player involved and on the ball.
Grassroots — Ages 14–15
Training-led
For our oldest grassroots players, the format shifts to keep development front and center. More training, plus real games against other clubs — built so players this age keep growing and stay in the game.
- Two training sessions each week, with training split by gender where our numbers allow it.
- Regular small-sided jamborees, plus inter-club friendlies and festivals for real games against other clubs.
- A genuine home alongside competitive. Recreational soccer doesn't end when competitive begins — a player who wants the game without the full competitive commitment has a real place to stay right through age 15.
What every grassroots player gets
- Weekly training plus game or play-day sessions through the season
- Club kit
- An age-appropriate curriculum built on our club-wide development framework — the same philosophy from the youngest session to the oldest
- Coaches focused on development, not just the scoreboard
- A welcoming environment where every player belongs — and a guaranteed no-cost path so cost is never the reason a child doesn't play
A bridge for hungry players
Some players are hungry for an extra challenge before they reach competitive age. We're building bridge opportunities — development-focused teams and sessions that give motivated players a taste of competitive soccer while keeping them in the recreational game. Options vary by age group and season, so reach out and we'll point you to what fits your player right now.

Competitive Soccer — Ages 10+
Our competitive teams compete in the Washington Premier League under US Club Soccer sanctioning — advanced training, real competition against clubs across the region, and travel for committed players.
- Currently eight teams across age groups, boys and girls.
- Entry is by open evaluation, not cuts. We hold open evaluation sessions — not tryouts that send players home. Every player who evaluates is placed on a team where there's room, redirected to another team that fits, or continues in grassroots — no U10–U15 player is ever left without an NCW home.
- Certified, experienced coaches and a real development environment, not just game-day.
- League and tournament play, including Washington Cup.
High School
Competitive teams continue through U19. We're also building off-season options for high-school-age players — winter small-sided play, training-only spots, and ways to stay in the game year-round. If you're a high-school player looking to keep developing, reach out.
A home for as long as they want to play
The pathway doesn't end at a final whistle. Players grow up here and come back — as coaches, as referees, as the people who run the club for the next generation of kids in the corridor. Wherever your player starts today, there's a place for them here for as long as they want the game.
